Korn Ferry Recognized by Working Mother as One of the 2020 ‘100 Best Companies’ and as One of the ‘Best Companies for Dads’

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY) is recognized today by Working Mother as one of the 2020 “100 Best Companies” for the second year in a row, and, for the first time, as one of the “Best Companies for Dads.”

Working Mother’s annual list of the 2020 100 Best Companies represents more than 2 million employees in the United States. This year’s winners are focusing on inclusive benefits for families, including gender-neutral parental leave, gradual phase-back after parental leave and accessible, affordable childcare. Korn Ferry was among the 100 companies that earned a spot on this year’s list.

“Our 100 Best Companies are the standard of excellence and continue to pave the way with the work they are doing on behalf of working parents and caregivers in the US,” says Subha Barry, president of Working Mother Media. “These companies were well ahead of the curve when it came to supporting their employees during this time of vast change with their family-friendly policies already in place. We celebrate their efforts and applaud them for addressing the needs of this important and ever-growing sector of talent.”

Working Mother also revealed its third annual list of the Best Companies for Dads, celebrating organizations that lead in the areas of paternity leave, childcare, flexible schedules and more. Korn Ferry was one of the 85 companies recognized on this year’s list.

“Millennial dads continue to be outspoken about wanting to be involved parents and needing the support of their companies in order to do so,” says Subha V. Barry, president of Working Mother Media. “These trendsetting organizations strive to create an inclusive environment for all working parents, and we applaud their efforts in helping to erase the stigma attached to men taking full parental leave and utilizing flexible schedules to be more involved on the homefront. By doing so, it helps moms succeed both at home and at work, and puts them on more equal footing in the process.”

“We’re honored to be named one of the best companies for parents to work for by Working Mother magazine. The recognitions reflect our efforts to be a premier career destination,” said Gary Burnison, CEO, Korn Ferry. “In a year that has been so challenging for so many people, and as work life and home life have become blurred, it’s humbling to see all that has been accomplished by our firm’s working parents and all of our colleagues across the globe.”

According to Brian Bloom, vice president, Global Benefits, Korn Ferry offers employees in the United States a suite of progressive benefits, including:

  • Inclusive fertility benefits including IVF, egg, sperm, and embryo freezing and storage
  • Adoption reimbursement
  • Healthy pregnancy program with cash incentive
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Flexible work arrangements when returning back to work
  • Dedicated lactation/wellbeing rooms in the offices
  • Care@work by care.com to help find caregivers for children, elders, and pets

About the “100 Best Companies” Methodology

The 2020 Working Mother 100 Best Companies application includes more than 400 questions on leave policies, workforce representation, benefits, childcare, advancement programs, flexibility and more. It surveys the availability and usage of these programs, as well as the accountability of the many managers who oversee them. All applicants receive feedback showing how they compare with other applicants; however, the names of applicants that do not make the list are kept confidential. Company profiles and data come from submitted applications and reflect 2019 data.

About the “Best Companies for Dads” Methodology

This year, for the first time, the Best Companies for Dads was offered to companies as a separate initiative for which they had to apply. The previous two years, Working Mother Research Institute had pulled out responses pertaining to dads from the 100 Best Companies application. The organizations listed here received the highest numbers of points in the survey about dads, which included questions on parental leave, childcare, adoption leave, fertility benefits and employee-resource groups for men and working parents.
