Lyn Currie to Lead RPO and Karen Wong to Lead Search Business, Supporting Continued Growth in the Region

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Futurestep, a Korn/Ferry company, today announced two new appointments in its Canadian business leadership. Lyn Currie has been named as Vice President and General Manager, RPO and Project-Based Recruitment business, and Karen Wong has been named as Vice President and General Manager of its Markets business. The addition of the two new dedicated leadership roles comes as Futurestep expands its Canadian organization to meet further growth in demand for its Strategic Talent Acquisition solutions.

As Vice President and General Manager, RPO and Project-Based Recruitment business for Futurestep in Canada, Lyn Currie has overall leadership and accountability for the strategic direction, development and growth in those areas.  Previously, as Practice Leader for Futurestep she was responsible for leading and managing business development and key client relationships both nationally and globally.

Prior to joining Futurestep, Ms. Currie was Managing Director of a global technology recruitment and outsourcing consulting firm where she was instrumental in growing the business and in delivering strategic projects for clients. Over the course of her career she was responsible for leading several divisions of the organization, advising clients on recruitment strategies, and delivering customized talent management solutions for key national accounts. Ms. Currie holds an honors Bachelor's Degree from the University of Western Ontario.

As Vice President and General Manager of the Markets business for Canada, Karen Wong will oversee strategic direction, development and growth for its Markets (Mid-level Search) solutions. This responsibility encompasses operational oversight and engagement management. Since 2006, Ms. Wong has been Service Delivery Leader for Futurestep, with involvement in solutions across the business, including recruitment, project management and service delivery.

Before joining the company in 2006, Ms. Wong spent over a decade working abroad in Hong Kong and New York City, initially as an Audit Manager with Price Waterhouse Hong Kong.  She then joined Michael Page Hong Kong, where she built and ran its largest division in financial services and helped them achieve recognition as the top recruitment consultancy in Asia within two years of its start up. Ms. Wong subsequently transferred to their New York office and established a highly successful front office banking practice. Ms. Wong holds a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy and a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from McGill University.  She is a Chartered Accountant.
