Liz Boardman Joins Korn Ferry Sports
Top Sports Recruiter Will Be Senior Client Partner of the Firm’s Global Sports Practice
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY), a single source of leadership and talent consulting services, today announced that Liz Boardman has joined as Senior Client Partner of the firm’s Sports Practice, which is led by industry veteran Jed Hughes.
Boardman has led senior executive assignments for sports organizations, major sports leagues, teams, conferences, and educational institutions. Based in New York, Boardman also regularly works with foundations and other nonprofits focused on sports, education, and wellness.

Boardman’s recent work includes searches for the Commissioner of the nation’s largest collegiate sports conference, Chief Revenue Officer for a top professional sports team, the Senior Vice President, Sponsorship Sales for a major sports league, and the Chief Marketing Officer of an Olympic organization.

Previous to joining Korn Ferry in January 2012, Jed Hughes was responsible for placing Pac 12 commissioner Larry Scott, USOC chief Scott Blackmun, Green Bay Packers CEO Mark Murphy, and Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, GM John Schneider, and CEO Peter McLoughlin.
Boardman joins Korn Ferry from an international executive search firm. Previously, she was business development and client relations director for the Advisory Board Company, a consulting firm focused on serving executives at the country’s leading higher education and health care institutions. She began her career as a teaching fellow and coach with the Coalition of Essential Schools, funded by the Gates Foundation.
Boardman received her B.A. from Georgetown University and her M.A. in Leadership from Harvard University, where she was the recipient of the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Leadership in Education Award and Merit Scholarship. At Georgetown, she was a member of the varsity women’s field hockey team.
