LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY), a single source of leadership and talent consulting services, today announced that Kenneth Bloom has joined the firm as Senior Client Partner. Mr. Bloom will be based in Korn Ferry’s New York office, serving in the Global Logistics and Transportation Services practice.
Mr. Bloom joins Korn Ferry from INTTRA, Inc., the world’s leading web portal for ocean-containerized freight, where he served as CEO and as a member of the Board of Directors. At INTTRA, Mr. Bloom and his team developed ecommerce solutions that standardize key business processes and transactions. As a result, INTTRA creates tremendous efficiencies for the industry and originates more than 23% of all global container traffic. INTTRA’s recent moves toward “Big Data” are likely to ensure continued growth.
Prior to joining INTTRA, Mr. Bloom served for 12 years in several executive positions at Stolt-Nielsen, the bulk transportation and logistics company, as well as an associate consultant at Bain and Company where he developed and implemented strategic programs for large clients.
“Ken brings to Korn Ferry significant global transportation and logistics experience, having served at the board and C-suite level for the past 12 years, bringing change to the industry in several capacities,” said Scott Kingdom, President, Global Industrial Practice, Korn Ferry. “Ken’s deep industry knowledge, hands-on expertise and understanding of the talent issues impacting the logistics and transportation industry will be a great fit for Korn Ferry and our clients.”
Recently, Mr. Bloom accepted a special advisor role at Greenbriar Equity Group, where he will focus on investment opportunities within the logistics, distribution and supply chain sectors where technology can serve as a differentiator or propellant to growth. He is also an independent director for H.J. Baker and Bros, Inc., a private company in Westport, CT engaged in the distribution of bulk fertilizer, feed and sulphur, and for Intermarine, LLC, a leading operator of heavy-lift, ocean-going vessels. On these boards, he has served as lead director, compensation committee chairman and audit committee chairman.
Mr. Bloom has a master's degree in Operation Research from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Chicago. He is married to Abby Meiselman, and they have two daughters aged 16 and 14.
