Korn Ferry's Co-Head of Board Services to Be Honored For Diversity Contribution to Corporate Boards

Dennis Carey to be distinguished honoree at Rainbow PUSH Coalition & Citizenship Education Fund’s 20th Annual Wall Street Project Economic Summit

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY), the preeminent global people and organizational advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Dennis Carey, Vice Chairman and Co-Head of its Board Services Practice, will be honored at Rainbow PUSH Coalition & Citizenship Education Fund’s 20th Annual Wall Street Project Economic Summit with a special award for his contribution to diversity placements on Fortune 500 corporate boards.

In the official notification of the award, the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. – Rainbow PUSH Coalition & Citizenship Education Fund’s President and Founder – specified that the organization wished to recognize Carey "with a special award for your outstanding achievements and contributions as one of America’s premier corporate leaders, for your commitment to excellence, best practices and innovation, and for being a proponent of diversity and inclusion, and access to capital and opportunity."

With growing awareness of the need to boost diversity on corporate boards – including the financial benefits that accrue to companies with diverse boards – Carey's director placements have included prominent diversity candidates, such as Bruce Gordon (Northrup Grumman, CBS, Tyco, and ADT boards); Ann Fudge (GE); Orlando Ashford (ITT); Denise Ramos (Phillips 66); Tony White (ATT); Ellen Kullman (Amgen); Dinesh Paliwal (Harman); Fernando Aguirre (Coveris); Philippe Guillemot (Visteon); Marna Whittington (Oaktree Capital Management); Juan Ernesto de Bedout (V.F. Corporation); and Tachi Yamada (Covidien), among others. Carey has recruited and placed nearly 50 diversity candidates on major corporate boards throughout the U.S. and the U.K.

The Wall Street Project Economic Summit was established on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday in 1997 to ensure equal opportunity for minority employees, consumers and entrepreneurs. Carey, and three fellow honorees, will be recognized at the 20th annual Summit luncheon on February 16, 2017, in New York City.
